Site Updates
Version 4
January 2009: turned the home page into a blog. Plans to tinker with the appearance, etc. soon!
February 2007: an error in my stylesheet only became apparant after a W3C compliance issue was tidied up in IE7. Corrected this and fixed the display problem. Updated Éila's pages.
October 2006: what a big gap between updates! Tried to make up for it by adding a new section with photos of Éila, updated the links page and finally finished the house renovation photo diary.
February 2006: added a page of people photographs from the Antarctica trip
January 2006; uploaded most of the Antarctica trip.
November 2005; included some photos of work in progress on the Houston house.
October 2005; added photos of the new house in Houston.
July 2005; updated following our move from London to Houston. Also added Maldives travel pages.
June 2005, added Norway travel pages.
June 2005, added our day watching rugby at Twickenham; updated the contact details.
April 2005; another redesign. Compromised on the wholly liquid layout I like in order to have a proper navigation bar and still be readable for people on lower resolutions. Re-formatting the old content is on-going.
Version 3
After a long long gap the site was finally shaken up again in March 2005. I added lots of content in the form of extensive New Zealand reports and photos and tried out a new layout. This almost immediately proved to be a disaster since I was mistakenly using Internet Explorer quirks mode and hadn't tested properly using other browsers (99% of our visitors use I.E.6).
Version 2
April saw the addition of Naj's goodbye photos on his leaving Stavanger, plus photos from our trips to Auckland and Kaikoura, followed in May by Matt and Lorraine's wedding pictures and in July our skiing trip to Ruapehu.
In March 2004 I moved over to xhmtl with stylesheets and dropped the old table layout.
Version 1
June 2003 I added photos from a kayaking trip down Lysefjord and in January 2004 the Costa Rica photos and write-ups appeared.
Went live in April 2003 with our wedding and honeymoon photos; swiftly updated in May when I learned some html and stopped using a WYSIWYG editor.
