Kirsty McCormack is wondering whether she is still capable of writing more than 420 characters in one go?
And can she still write in the first person?
Uh-oh. I think I may be addicted to Facebook. Phew, feels good to admit it - although anyone that knows me even slightly will not feel that this is much of a revelation. As an ex-pat, (even a re-patriated one) the ability to view instant digital snippets of friends' lives around the world is the perfect method of social interaction. Posting a status update around once a day doesn't take much effort, you hardly ever have to directly address anyone, and even if you do choose to have a typewritten chat, you can respond in your own time and on your own terms. For a lazy introvert with a closet telephone phobia, it's non-communication at its most communicative. Kind of like stalking, except when you go home you leave your own curtains open so you don't feel so guilty about your Peeping Tom tendencies.
Wow. Kirsty McCormack has exceeded 1000 characters (even allowing for html tags) and is closing the curtains in exhaustion.
